Why is an occupational health service necessary?
According to Art. 4, Art. 14 and Art. 25 of the OHS Act, the employer is obliged to ensure healthy and safe working conditions for employees, as well as to carry out a risk assessment.
Persons who violate the requirements or fail to fulfill their obligations under this law bear responsibility under Art. 413, 414, 415 and 416 of the Labour Code.
Control over compliance is exercised by MLSP and the General Labour Inspectorate Executive Agency.
